Большинство озёр Филиппин образовано в результате действия вулканов, так как страна находится в зоне повышенной сейсмической активности. Нередки случаи, когда озёра образовываются в жерлах потухших и дремлющих вулканов. Ниже представлен список наиболее крупных озёр и водохранилищ Филиппин (кроме пойм).

Примечательные озёра площадью менее 10 км²

  • Пинатубо. Самое глубокое (ок. 600 м)[1] и самое молодое озеро страны (образовано в результате извержения одноимённого вулкана 15 июня 1991 года в его же кратере)[2].
  • Мапануэпе[англ.]. Крупнейшее озеро страны, созданное лахаром; имеет площадь 6,48 км². Также образовано в результате извержения Пинатубо в июне 1991 года[3].
