«Мистер Нокаут» — российский художественный фильм в жанре спортивной драмы, который рассказывает о выдающемся советском боксёре Валерии Попенченко. Режиссёр картины — Артём Михалков, главные роли сыграли Виктор Хориняк и Сергей Безруков. Премьера состоялась 23 февраля 2022 года.

Фильм получил Гран-при XVI кинофестиваля «Золотой Феникс»[1].

Сюжет

Главный герой фильма — легендарный советский спортсмен Валерий Попенченко, шестикратный чемпион СССР (1960—1965), двукратный чемпион Европы (1963, 1965), олимпийский чемпион по боксу во втором среднем весе (Токио, 1964). Единственный в Советском Союзе обладатель Кубка Вэла Баркера — приза самому техничному боксёру Олимпиады, «Нобелевской премии» для боксёров-любителей.

Фильм рассказывает о его детстве и юности, учёбе и военной службе, начале спортивной карьеры и одержанных победах. Особое внимание уделено отношениям Валерия с его наставником — неортодоксальным, неуживчивым и конфликтным тренером Григорием Кусикьянцем, разглядевшем в своенравном и не слишком дисциплинированном курсанте военно-морского училища задатки будущего гения мирового бокса.

Производство и премьера

Производство фильма длилось более трёх лет. Съёмки проходили в России, Узбекистане, Польше и Японии.

Режиссёром фильма выступил Артём Михалков. Он заявляет, что сценарий картины частично основан на реальных фактах биографии спортсмена, но содержит элементы художественного вымысла. В частности, в фильме показан тяжелейший трёхраундовый поединок в финале Токийской олимпиады, в ходе которого главный герой несколько раз оказывается в нокдауне. В действительности своего соперника по финальному бою, пятикратного чемпиона ФРГ Эмиля Шульца, Мистер Нокаут «уронил» на первой же минуте первого раунда.

23 ноября 2021 года вышел первый трейлер картины. Премьера состоялась 23 февраля 2022 года[2][3][4]. Телевизионная премьера фильма состоялась 12 июня 2023 года на телеканале «Россия-1».
