Декларация независимости (англ. Declaration of Independence) — картина американского художника Джона Трамбулла. Картина была заказана в 1817 году, куплена в 1819 году, помещена в ротонде Капитолия в 1826 году. На картине изображена сцена предложения к рассмотрению текста декларации независимости США на заседании континентального конгресса. Хранится в здании заседаний Конгресса США — Капитолии в Вашингтоне. Основана на меньшей версии той же сцены, которая расположена в картинной галерее Йельского университета. Трамбулл изобразил многих подписавших документ ещё при жизни и посетил Индепенденс-холл, где заседал Второй континентальный конгресс.

Сцена, изображенная на картине, часто ошибочно принимается за подписание декларации независимости. На самом деле на картине показан комитет пяти, презентующий текст документа конгрессу. Это событие произошло 28 июня 1776 года, а подписание декларации состоялось позже[1].

Картина изображает 42 из 56 подписавших декларацию. Изначально Трамбулл планировал запечатлеть всех, однако не смог раздобыть изображение некоторых конгрессменов. Автор также решил изобразить некоторых участвовавших в дебатах, но не подписавших декларацию, в частности Джона Дикинсона, который отказался подписать документ.
