Wälder um Beverungen este o arie protejată (arie specială de conservare — SAC[1], sit de importanță comunitară — SCI) din Germania întinsă pe o suprafață de 972,25 ha, integral pe uscat.

Localizare

Centrul sitului Wälder um Beverungen este situat la coordonatele 51°38′30″N 9°21′44″E / 51.6417°N 9.3622°E ({{PAGENAME}}).

Înființare

Situl Wälder um Beverungen a fost declarat sit de importanță comunitară în martie 2001 pentru a proteja 2 specii de animale. Situl a fost protejat și ca arie specială de conservare în februarie 2006[1].[2][3]

Biodiversitate

Situată în ecoregiunea continentală, aria protejată conține 6 habitate naturale: Izvoare petrifiante cu formare de travertin (Cratoneurion), Pante stâncoase calcaroase cu vegetație casmofită, Păduri de fag Asperulo-Fagetum, Păduri de fag din Europa Centrală dezvoltate pe sol calcaros cu Cephalanthero-Fagion, Păduri de stejar și carpen Galio-Carpinetum, Păduri pe pante, grohotișuri și ravene de Tilio-Acerion.[3]

La baza desemnării sitului se află mai multe specii protejate:[2]

Pe lângă speciile protejate, pe teritoriul sitului au mai fost identificate 3 specii de plante, 1 specie de mamifere.[2]
