O rio Dniepre,[2] Dnieper,[3][4][5][6][7] Dnipro,[8][9][10][11] Nipro[12] ou Danápris[13] (em russo: Днепр; romaniz.:Dnepr; em bielorrusso: Дняпро; romaniz.:Dnyapro; em ucraniano: Дніпро; romaniz.:Dnipro) é um rio com cerca de 2 201 km de extensão[1] que corre ao longo da Rússia em direção à Bielorrússia e a partir daí para a Ucrânia. É o 47.º rio mais longo do mundo.
O Danápris nasce nas montanhas de Valdai (norte da Rússia), e corre para sul, desaguando no mar Negro. Por 115 km, o rio serve de fronteira natural entre a Bielorrússia e a Ucrânia.
O Danápris é mencionado pela primeira vez nos registros históricos na Grécia Antiga por Heródoto, no século V a.C., sob o nome de Borístenes. Os historiadores da Roma Antiga chamavam-lhe Danaper, e o seu nome em antigo eslavo oriental era Slavutich.
Em águas na região da Ucrânia, foi descoberta uma carruagem do período cossaco, construída entre os séculos XVI e XVIII, mergulhada a 9 metros de profundidade.[carece de fontes?]
