Solana (plataforma de blockchain)

Solana é uma plataforma de blockchain de alto desempenho projetada para suportar aplicativos descentralizados. Possui sua própria criptomoeda nativa chamada SOL, que é usada para pagar as taxas de transação e participar do processo de governança da rede.[1]

A rede Solana utiliza um mecanismo de consenso chamado Proof of History (Prova de Histórico) juntamente com o mecanismo Proof of Stake (Prova de Participação) para garantir a segurança e a confiabilidade das transações. O Proof of History permite que a rede Solana tenha uma sequência de eventos ordenados cronologicamente, melhorando a eficiência e a velocidade das transações.[2]

História

A Solana fundou-se em 2017. A rede principal de Solana foi lançada em Março de 2020.[3]

Em 2021 o periodista de Bloomberg, Joanna Ossinger, descreveu a Solana como “competidor potencial de longo prazo de Ethereum” se referindo a alta velocidade de transações e os gastos acompanhantes mais baixos.[4][5]

Aos 14 de Setembro de 2021 o blockchain Solana foi desligado depois que o borrifo de transações ter chegado à ramificação da rede, e diferentes validadores terem estudado de modos diferentes o estado da rede. O blockchain voltou a se ligar aos 15 de Setembro de 2021.[6]

Aos 16 de Dezembro de 2021 a ex primeira senhora dos EEUU, Melania Trump, declarou sobre seus planos para usar a Solana para o arranco de token não recambiável (NFT).[7] O fundo de Solana publicou o comunicado de imprensa para explicar que sua seleção de plataforma não tem sido oficialmente “parte de alguma iniciativa sob direção de Solana”.[8]
