Pombajira

Pombajira Rainha

Pombajira, Pombojira, Pambujira, Pombujira, Pombojira, Bombogira, Pombagira ou Inzila (em quimbundo: pambu ia-njila; lit. Encruzilhada),[1] na mitologia bantu, é o inquice dos caminhos, encruzilhadas, bifurcações e comunicação, dotado de aspectos femininos e primitivamente, uma divindade mulher. Como guardião das comunidades, tem assentamento (local de deposição de coisas ligadas a ele) na entrada. Nalgumas, há a Casa de Exu para seus assentamentos, que pertencem aos filhos da casa. Por vezes é referido por outros nomes (Exu, Aluvaiá, Pambujila, Pombojila, Bombomzila) conforme os fundamentos da comunidade.[2]

Seu culto varia, com algumas casas considerando-o divindade e seus filhos iniciados por ele, e noutras como entidade, que entra em transe de possessão em pessoas que não lhe foram consagradas por transes iniciáticos. Por também possuir características ligadas ao sexo, à procriação e por reger a penetração sexual, Exu é cultuado nalgumas casas do candomblé e umbanda como a entidade feminina Pombajira.[3]

Atributos e falanges

Há diversas falanges de Pombajira, como por exemplo: Rainha, Sete Saias, Maria Padilha (ligada a Nanã Buruquê), Maria Molambo, da Calunga, do Cruzeiro, Cigana dos Sete Cruzeiros, Cigana (ligada a Oxum), das Almas, 13, Maria Quitéria, Dama da Noite, Menina, Mirongueira, Menina da Praia (ligada a Iemanjá).[4][5] As Pombajiras e Exus são referidos coletivamente na umbanda como povos de rua.[6]

Na crença afro-brasileira, tem poder para propiciar qualquer união amorosa e sexual, trabalhando contra inimigos seus e dos devotos. Diz-se que considera seus amigos aqueles que a procuram em necessidade e lhe agradam. A ela são ofertados como presentes coisas que usa no terreiro, quando incorporada: tecidos para suas roupas nas cores vermelho e preto, perfumes, jóias e bijuterias, champanhe e outras bebidas, cigarro, cigarrilha e piteira, rosas vermelhas abertas, oferendas de obrigação, animais sacrificiais (particularmente no candomblé) e despachos deixados nas encruzilhadas, cemitérios e outros locais, sempre iluminado pelas velas vermelhas, pretas e, às vezes, brancas.[7]
