Uma casa é um bem imóvel

Um imóvel é um tipo de bem que consiste em terrenos e edifícios, juntamente com os seus recursos naturais,[1] como colheitas, minerais ou água.[2] Os bens imóveis são diferentes dos bens pessoais, que não estão permanentemente presos à terra, como veículos, barcos, joias, móveis, ferramentas etc.[3]

Principais tipos

Imóvel residencial

Os imóveis residenciais podem conter estrutura para uma ou mais famílias, que é disponível para ocupação[4] ou para fins não comerciais.[5][3] Esse tipo de imóvel inclui: condomínios, casas, duplexes, quadruplexes entre outros edifícios.[6]

Imóvel comercial

São imóveis comerciais aqueles que são usados exclusivamente para geração de renda e negócios.[3] São considerados imóveis comerciais: shopping centers, strip malls, mercearias, restaurantes, hotéis, edifícios de escritórios, teatros, e etc. Apartamentos também são considerados imóveis comerciais, já que as empresas os usam para gerar renda, mesmo que também sejam usados como moradia.[6][7][8]

Imóvel industrial

Imóveis industriais incluem armazéns, fábricas e usinas. Estes imóveis são usados para manufatura, produção, distribuição, armazenamento e pesquisa.[3][6][8]
