Niżanie – plemię słowiańskie z grupy serbołużyckiej, zamieszkujące dorzecze Łaby w okolicach Drezna^[1]. Politycznie prawdopodobnie tworzyli związek z Głomaczami^[1]. Po podboju niemieckim terytorium Niżan weszło w skład Marchii Miśnieńskiej^[1].
