Contor Group Arad – rumuński klub szachowy z siedzibą w Aradzie.

Historia

Klub powstał w 2002 roku z inicjatywy prezesa przedsiębiorstwa Contor Zenner, Tudora Caracioniego. Już w pierwszym roku istnienia klub awansował do Divizii A[1]. W 2005 roku klub zdobył wicemistrzostwo Rumunii, ulegając jedynie AEM Luxtenowi Timișoara[2]. W sezonie 2006 zespół zdobył mistrzostwo kraju kobiet[3]. W roku 2007 męska drużyna ukończyła rozgrywki ligowe na trzecim miejscu, za AEM Luxtenem Timișoara i Mediciną Timișoara[4]. Kobiecy zespół obronił natomiast mistrzostwo[5]. W 2008 roku Contor Group zajął siódme miejsce w męskiej Superlidze[6]. W 2009 roku klub wycofał się z Superligi, motywując to względami finansowymi[7].

Zawodnikami klubu byli m.in.: Cristina-Adela Foișor[5], Ovidiu-Doru Foișor[1], Sabina-Francesca Foișor[1], Andrei Istrățescu[8], Thomas Luther[5], Daniel Moldovan[1], Eva Moser[5], Wołodymyr Siergiejew[8], Levente Vajda[5] i Zoltán Varga[8].
