Mans de Breish

Mans de Breish (nascut Gérard Pourhomme[1] lo 29 de genièr de 1949 a Carcassona) es un cantaire e escrivan occitan. Canta en occitan e escriu en francés.

Es demèst los cantaires mai importants del reviscòl de la cançon occitana dins las annadas 1970. Se ditz qu'aprenguèt a jogar de la guitarra amb los caracos de Carcassona. Son los amics del licèu que li donèron son escais de mans de bruèis (breish es la prononciacion locala).[2]

Après dos albums, trabalhèt dins lo sector bancari, e tornèt a publicar albums a partir de 2000. Après son CD consacrat a la mesa en musica de poèmas de Joan Bodon, "Alba d'Occitània", sortiguèt dos albums "La Guerra Bartassièra" e "Ont se'n va", que tornan mesclar lo militantisme e la poesia amb de mai en mai de jazz.
