Velur
Velur (fransk: velours) er en type tykk og myk vevnad, vanligvis laget av ull eller bomull, som er sterkt oppruet og klipt med kort eller lang lo.[1] Velurstoff har en «ru, fløyelslignende overflate».[2]
Etymologi
«Velur» kommer av fransk velours, som igjen kommer av latin villosus, «behåret», «lodden»; villosus har også gitt på norsk «fløyel» og «flor».[3]
