Steve Morgan (født 1952) er en britisk forretningsmann som blant annet eier fotballklubben Wolverhampton Wanderers FC. Morgan er utnevnt til offiser av Order of the British Empire.

Forretningskarriere

Steve Morgan grunnla bygningsfirmaet Redrow plc i 1974 som han senere solgte og han sitter nå som direktør i tre store selskap: Bridgmere Group of Companies, Harrow Estates plc og Salamanca Finance plc. Morgan gjorde store penger på forretninger og var i 2007 rangert som den 177. rikeste personen i Storbritannia.[1]

Liverpool FC

Morgan er en livslang Liverpool FC tilhenger og har vært klubbens tredje største aksjonær med en aksjepost på 5%. I 2003 og 2004, da klubben var på utkikk etter nye midler for å bygge ny stadion, Stanley Park Stadium, gjorde Morgan mange godt publiserte forslag for å investere mange titalls millioner pund i klubben, noe som til slutt endte i et bud på 73 millioner britiske pund, uten at han klarte å bli enig med direktøren i klubben David Moores. I 2007 valgte Moores heller å selge klubben til de amerikanske forretningsfolkene Tom Hicks og George Gillett.

Wolverhampton Wanderers FC

I mai 2007 kjøpte han Wolverhampton Wanderers FC fra Jack Hayward for den symbolske summen 10 pund mot at han forpliktet seg til å investere 30 millioner pund i klubben.[2]
