Stör på Commons

Stör er ei elv i delstaten Schleswig-Holstein i Tyskland. Den er ei høyre sideelv til Elben. Elva har utspring rundt 15 kilometer sørøst for Neumünster, ved Willingrade i Kreis Segeberg. Den renner mot vest sør for Neumünster og snur deretter mot sørvest og passerer gjennom Itzehoe, før den munner ut i Elben fire kilometer nordvest for Glückstadt. Elva er rundt 87 kilometer lang med et nedbørfelt på 1 781 km² og en middelvannføring ved munningen på 21,7 m³/s.[1].

Elva er seilbar opp til Itzehoe. To kilometer ovenfor munningen ble det i 1975 bygget et flomvern, kalt Störsperrwerk, for å beskytte de lavtliggende områdene langs Stör mot stormflo. Flomvernet har to 22 meter brede åpninger for skipsfart.
