Sinifisering

Sinifisering er den språklige eller kulturelle antagelse av kinesisk språk og kultur, spesielt hankinesisk.[1][2][3]

Uttrykket benyttes for å beskrive assimilasjonen av andre folkeslag i Kina til den kinesiske identiteten. For eksempel siniseringen av Jin-dynastiet etter erobringen av Nord-Kina.

I moderne tid benyttets det også om den kinesiske regjerings bestrebelser for å få sosiale aktører innen det kinesiske samfunn å tilpasse seg regjeringens forestillinger om den ekte moderne politiske forståelse av det å være kirkesisk.
