Platevibrator
Platevibrator, også kalt platekompaktor eller «hoppetusse», er en maskin med en vibrerende plate, drevet av en motor, som blir benyttet som en maskindrevet stamper for å pakke sammen grus i forbindelse med bygge- eller vegarbeid. Maskinene er som oftest små, slik at de er lette å komme til med hvor større maskiner som vegvalser ikke kan benyttes. Operatøren går bak maskinen og styrer via et styre.
