Phlogistus er en slekt av maurbiller som stort sett er rovdyr. Disse slanke billene er gjerne brokete farget i rødt, gult og svart, og kroppen er dekket av lange, oppstående hår. Mange arter lever av vedborende insekter, for eksempel barkbiller.
Utseende
Nokså små, avlange, fint hårete maurbiller, mørke på farge, dekkvingene gjerne mer eller mindre metallglinsende.
Levevis
Både larver og voksne biller er rovdyr, men de voksne kan også finnes på blomster der de spiser pollen. Mange lever av treborende insekter. De finnes gjerne på barken av trær.
Utbredelse
Slekten er utbredt i Australia.
