Otto Tangen på Commons

Otto Tangen (født 28. januar 1886, død 13. oktober 1956) var en norsk ingeniør og skiløper.

Tangen arbeidet i årene 1912–1918 ved Sulitjelma gruber. I 1922 kom han til Løkken Verk, hvor han de ti første årene var bygningssjef. Deretter var han i 20 år ingeniør ved oppredningsverket ved Orkla Grube-Aktiebolag. Etter oppnådd aldergrense i 1954 flyttet han til Trondheim.[3]

I sin ungdom var Tangen kjent som skiløper. Han vant hopprennet i yngste klasse i Holmenkollen i 1906, og de neste fem årene var han blant Norges beste kombinertløpere.[4] I 1911 var han Norges representant i konkurransen i Saltsjöbaden, der han vant både langrenn og kombinert.[3] Han ble tildelt Holmenkollmedaljen i 1911 sammen med Knut Holst. Han representerte IF Liv fra Hønefoss.[5]
