Miljödepartementet er et svensk departement som ble opprettet 1. januar 1987 som Miljö- och energidepartementet. Den 15. mai 1990 ble energisaken overført til Industridepartementet, og Miljö- och energidepartementet skiftet navn till Miljödepartementet. Fra 1. desember 1991 til 31. desember 1994 het departementet Miljö- och naturresursdepartementet. Fra 1. januar 1995 til 31. desember 2004 het det igjen Miljödepartementet. Den 1. november 2004 skiftet det navn til Miljö- och samhällsbyggnadsdepartementet. Da Regjeringen Reinfeldt overtok regjeringsmakten ble det bestemt at navnet skulle endres fra 1. januar 2007. Da het departementet for tredje gang Miljödepartementet. Etter at Stefan Löfvens første regjering tiltrådte skiftet det igjen navn 1. januar 2015 til det opprinnelige Miljö- och energidepartmentet.

Da Ulf Kristerssons regjering tiltrådte i oktober 2022, kunngjorde den at Miljödepartementet ville legges ned og legges under Næringsdepartementet.[2]
