Likekjønnede ekteskap i Nepal

Likekjønnende ekteskap er iferd med å bli tillatt i Nepal. Høyesterett i Nepal bestemte 17. november 2008 at homofile, bifile og transpersoner ved lov skulle defineres som «naturlige mennesker» og ha fulle rettigheter; inkludert retten til å gifte seg. Retten ba regjeringen å oppnevne en komité som kunne studere lover omkring likekjønnede ekteskap i utlandet og ba om at den nye loven ikke diskriminerte seksuelle minoriteter, inkludert transpersoner. Partnerskap er tillatt, men vil ikke motta offisiell godkjennelse inntil videre.[1][2][3][4]
