Houston Ship Channel i Houston, Texas er en del av havna i Houston, en av USAs travleste havner. Skipskanalen er en kanalisering av elva Buffalo Bayou, som har sine kilder 50 kilometer vest for Houston, og har blitt brukt til å transportere varer til Mexicogolfen i hvert fall siden 1836. Nærheten til oljefeltene i Texas førte til etablering av mange oljeraffinerier langs vannveien, så som ExxonMobils anlegg i Baytown på østbredden av San Jacinto River, som er en del av kanalen.

Houston Ship Channel har flere ganger vært utvidet og gjort dypere for å kunne ta imot stadig større skip. Kanalen kan for tiden ta skip som er 161 meter lange og 14 meter brede, og den er 80 kilometer lang. Øyene som ligger i kanalen er en del av det pågående utvidelsesprosjektet. De er dannet av jord som er hentet opp under mudringen i kanalløpet, og sumpene og fugleøyene er en del av miljøansvaret som er pålagt Houstons havnevesen.
