Fylkesvei 7982 går mellom Čunovuohppi og sentrum i Kautokeino kommune.

Veien ble anlagt som anleggsvei for Biedjovagge gruver. Strekningen mellom Kautokeino og fylkesgrensen hadde arbeidstittelen Indre Riksvei. Den ble påbegynt i månedskiftet juni-juli 1968 og ble åpnet for biltrafikk samme år.[1] [2] [3]

Frem til 2019 hadde veien betegnelsen fylkesvei 6 (Finnmark).[4]
