Brown Peak er en stratovulkan og det høyeste punktet på Ballenyøyene i Sørishavet. Vulkanen ligger på den nordlige delen av Sturge Island, nær Øst-Antarktis, og strekker seg 1 524 meter over havet. Ingen detaljerte geologiske studier har blitt gjennomført på den utilgjengelige øya som er helt dekket av en iskappe.[2]

John Balleny oppdaget Brown Peak i februar 1839, og ga det navn etter W. Brown, en handelsmann som finansierte deler av ekspedisjonen til Enderby-brødrene. I 1841 fikk også kaptein James Clark Ross øye på øyene på ekspedisjonen sin til Antarktis og ga denne øya navnet Russell Peak.[3] Navnet Brown Peak ble akseptert av US-ACAN i 1947. Dette navnet finnes også i det newzealandske kartleksikonet fra 1958.[2]
