Østkantavisa var en gratis lokalavis for bydelene i Oslo indre øst (Gamle Oslo, Grünerløkka og Sagene) som ble utgitt i årene 2001–2014. Opplaget var på cirka 70 000 eksemplarer, fulldistribuert med Posten, i starten månedlig og fra 2005 ukentlig.[2]

Avisa ble etablert i desember 2001 av lokale gründere, da under navnet Løkkamagazinet. Oppstarterne hadde erfaring fra diverse forløpere i lokalavismarkedet i hovedstaden (Løkka Tidene, Østkanten, Bydelsavisa Oslo Øst, St. Hanshaugen Budstikke mfl.). I 2003 ble navnet endret til Østkantavisa da utgivelsesområdet ble utvidet til tre bydeler. Året etter ble avisa kjøpt opp av Orkla Media (senere kalt Edda Media) som ledd i en oppkjøpsrunde av småaviser i hovedstaden.[3]

I 2011 kjøpte Amedia opp Edda Media, og Østkantavisa ble sammen med flere andre aviser relansert under paraplyen Ditt Oslo. I 2014 ble flere av Ditt Oslos småaviser – inkludert Østkantavisa – nedlagt, mens Nettavisen overtok den digitale delen av virksomheten.[4]
