Liffey (An Life på irsk) er ei elv i Republikken Irland som renn gjennom sentrum av Dublin. Dei største sideelvane hennar er Dodder, Poddle og Camac.

Elva heitte tidlegare An Ruirthech, som tyder «rasktrennande». Ordet Liphe (eller Life) refererte opphavleg til namnet på sletta som elva rann over, men til slutt vart det namnet på sjølve elva.

Liffey har utspring ved Kippure i Wicklowfjella i County Wicklow og har ei lengd på om lag 125 km. Ho renn gjennom grevskapa Wicklow, Kildare og Dublin før ho munnar ut i Dublin Bay og Irskesjøen.

Det ligg tre vasskraftverk langs elva ved Poulaphouca, Golden Falls og Leixlip, i tillegg til fleire mindre, private installasjonar.

Av byar langs elva finn ein Ballymore Eustace, Newbridge, Clane, Celbridge, Leixlip og Lucan før elva renn inn i Dublin nær munningen.

Liffey har i mange hundreår vorte nytta som transportåre, heilt frå vikingtida då byen vart grunnlagd. Eit velkjent syn på Liffey fram til 1990-åra var frakteskipa «Lady Patricia» og «Miranda Guinness» som frakta ølet Guinness frå St. James's Gate Brewery. Dei seinare åra er det berre turistbåtar som er å sjå på elva av fast trafikk.
