Bukovina (ukrainsk Буковина, Bukovyna, rumensk Bucovina; tysk og polsk Bukowina), «bøkelandet», er ein historisk region på nordsida av den nordaustlege delen av fjellkjeda Karpatane.[1] Under Austerrike-Ungarn var Bukovina ein region i keisarriket, men i dag er området delt mellom Romania i sør og Ukraina i nord.

Opphavleg var Bukovina den nordlege delen av Moldavia, men han blei annektert av habsburgmonarkiet i januar 1775 og lagt inn som ein region under Kongedømet Galicia og Lodomeria. I 1849 blei området skilt ut som eit eige hertugdøme innan dobbelmonarkiet. I 1918, etter første verdskrigen, blei det innlemma i Romania. Dei nordlegaste distrikta, som for det meste er folkesette av etniske ukrainarar, blei annekterte av Sovjetunionen i 28. juni 1940, tapt til Romania igjen i 1941, og gjenannektert i 1945. Dei er no del av det sjølvstendige Ukraina.[2]
