Wikibase ir MediaWiki paplašinājumu kopa, kas nodrošina darbu ar daļēji strukturētiem datiem, saglabājot to informāciju (t.sk. versiju informāciju) centralizētā repozitorijā, nevis nestrukturētā MediaWiki vikitekstā. Tā galvenie komponenti ir Wikibase Repository paplašinājums datu glabāšanai un pārvaldīšanai, un Wikibase Client paplašinājums, kurš nodrošina Wikibase repozitorija strukturēto datu nolasīšanu un iekļaušanu citās vietnēs. Wikibase programmatūra tika izveidota priekš Vikidatu sistēmas un tiek lietota tajā.[3]
