Telts ir no viegla materiāla, piemēram, no ūdensnecaurlaidīga auduma, zariem, veidota pagaidu mītne vai pajumte. Teltīm parasti ir slīpas sānu malas, lai nokrišņi neuzkrātos uz tās augšējās daļas. To var viegli nojaukt un uzsliet, līdz ar to tā ir pārvietojama. Vēsturiski teltis pirmās izmantoja nomadu tautas. Mūsdienās tās plaši izmanto pārgājienos, tirgos (gadatirgos) kā pajumti no nokrišņiem, brīvdabas koncertos. Telšu izmēri variē no ļoti mazām, kurā var ielīst tikai viens cilvēks, līdz ļoti lielām, piemēram, cirka teltīm.
