Telemetrija

Telemetrija ir automatizēts sakaru process, kurā mērījumus un citus datus ievāc no tāliem vai nepieejamiem objektiem un pārraida uz nolasīšanas iekārtu.[1] Telemetrs ir iekārta ar sensoru, kas šos datus pārraida.
Pārsvarā terminu attiecina uz bezvadu datu pārraidi, piemēram, izmantojot radio, ultraskaņu, infrasarkanās sistēmas, bet to var attiecināt uz telefonu un datoru tīkliem, optiskajiem sakariem vai citām pārraides formām, izmantojot vadu.
