Tehno
Tehno ir elektroniskās deju mūzikas apakšžanrs, kas parādījās Detroitā, ASV, 1980. gadu vidū un beigās. Pirmais vārda tehno (angļu: Techno) lietojums mūzikas žanra apzīmēšanai ir fiksēts 1988. gadā. Mūsdienās pastāv daudzi tehno stili, bet Detroitas tehno ir šo stilu pamatlicējs. Detroita tajā laikā bija mašīnbūves pilsēta, kur ik uz soļa industriālajā rajonā bija dzirdami dažādi tehniski trokšņi, kas atkārtojas un veido it kā ritmisku skanējumu. Tāpēc cilvēki nāca klajā ar šo tehnisko trokšņu atdarināšanu ar dažādiem instrumentiem (pārsvarā elektroniskiem), kas atdarināja tehniskos procesus un pievienoja tiem muzikālu noskaņu un nosauca par techno.
