Persivals Louvels - planētas X hipotēzes autors.

Planēta X ir hipotētiska planēta Saules sistēmas ārējā daļā aiz Neptūna orbītas. Tās meklējumi sākās pēc Neptūna atklāšanas 1846. gadā un kulmināciju sasniedza 20. gadsimta sākumā, kad Persivals Lovels pamatoja tās iespējamo eksistenci. Lovela hipotēze balstījās uz Urāna un Neptūna orbītas neatbilstību tās aprēķinātajai orbītai,[1] līdz ar to tika izvirzīta doma, ka to orbītas ietekmē vēl kāda liela gāzu planēta.[2]
