Periods
- Šis raksts ir par laika intervālu. Par horizontālajām rindām periodiskajā tabulā skatīt rakstu periodiskās tabulas periods.
Periods ir mazākais laika intervāls, pēc kura ķermeņa kustība pilnībā atkārtojas. Fizikā periodu parasti apzīmē ar latīņu burtu T un mērvienība tam ir sekunde.
Perioda apgriezto lielumu sauc par frekvenci. To izsaka formula T=t/n, kur n ir svārstību skaits.
