OpenTimestamps ir decentralizēta laikzīmogošanas infrastruktūra, kas paļaujas uz Bitcoin blokķēdi. Tā ļauj pierādīt jebkādu dokumentu vai citu cipardatu eksistenci pirms noteikta datuma un laika. Parasti tas notiek, izmantojot kalendāra serverus, kas ļauj grupēt neierobežotu skaitu pierādījumu vienā ierakstā (Bitcoin transakcijā), izmantojot Merkles koku.
Pielietojumi
- Argentīnas valdības oficiālais laikraksts Boletín Oficial de la República Argentina izmanto OpenTimestamps kā pierādījumu, ka publikācijas nav rediģētas pēc to publicēšanas.[2]
- Visu 750 miljonu Internet Archive saglabāto dokumentu momentuzņēmums tika laikzīmogots, nepieļaujot nepamanītu to modificēšanu nākotnē.[3]
- Bitcoin Core un JoinMarket projekti izmanto OpenTimestamps lai laikzīmogotu versiju kontroles sistēmas (git) sapludināšanu izpildes.[4][5]
