Izoprēns (2-metil-1,3-butadiēns, СН2=С(СН3)—СН=СН2) ir ogļūdeņradis (alkadiēns) ar divām konjugētām dubultsaitēm (dubultsaitēm, starp kurām ir viena vienkāršā saite). Izoprēns ir bezkrāsains, etilspirtā šķīstošs šķidrums.
Iegūšana
- Izoprēnu var iegūt, dažu terpēnu (limonēna, dipentēna, terpentīna) tvaikiem saskaroties ar nokaitētu platīnu, kā arī, destilējot dabīgo kaučuku.
- Rūpnieciski izoprēnu iegūst no acetona un acetilēna, vai arī izoamilspirta.
Izmantošana
Izoprēnu lieto kā sintētiskā kaučuka izejvielu.
