Ass slīpums
Ar ass slīpumu astronomijā saprot debess ķermeņu rotācijas ass slīpumu. Tas ir leņķis starp debess ķermeņa ekvatora un orbītas plaknēm. To var definēt arī kā leņķi starp debess ķermeņa rotācijas asi un perpendikulu pret šā ķermeņa orbītas plakni.
Rotācijas ass slīpumu izsaka grādos un apzīmē ar ε.
Zemes rotācijas ass slīpums pašreiz ir apmēram 23.439°. Tas mainās no 22.1° līdz 24.5° 42 000 gadu laikā. Pašlaik tas samazinās par 0.013° katros simts gados[1]. Zemes rotācijas ass slīpums rada gadalaiku maiņu.
