.com ir augšējā līmeņa domēns. Tā nosaukums ir radies no angļu valodas vārda commercial, kas nozīmē "komerciāls".[1] Tas tika izveidots 1985. gada janvārī, vienlaikus ar domēniem .edu, .gov, .mil, .net, .org, .arpa, kā domēns komerciālu organizāciju lietošanai, tomēr tā nozīme tika zaudēta, kad domēnos .com, .org un .net tika atļauta neierobežota reģistrācija.
Sākotnēji šo domēnu pārvaldīja ASV Aizsardzības departaments, bet šobrīd to pārvalda Verisign, bet tas ir palicis ASV likumu pakļautībā.[2][3][4]
Šobrīd tas ir populārākais augšējā līmeņa domēns.[5] 2011. gada decembrī pēc VeriSign datiem bija reģistrēti aptuveni 100 miljoni .com domēnu.[6]
