Samsung planšetinis kompiuteris

Planšetinis kompiuteris (angl. tablet computer), šnek. planšetė – nešiojamasis mobilusis kompiuteris su lietimui jautriu ekranu,[1] paprastai didesnis už mobilųjį telefoną ar delninį kompiuterį. Atpažįsta rankos ar specialaus rašiklio (stiliaus) prisilietimą,[1] nėra valdomas pele ar klaviatūra, tačiau tekstui suvesti naudojama virtuali klaviatūra. Gali būti naudojamas kaip visavertis asmeninis kompiuteris,[2] naršymui internete[1] ir kitokioms smulkioms reikmėms, kaip antai el. pašto tikrinimui, taip pat el. knygų skaitymui, pramogoms, darbui.

Planšetiniuose kompiuteriuose naudojamos x86 ir ARM architektūros, populiariausios naudojamos operacinės sistemos yra iOS, Android, webOS, MeeGo, Windows CE, Linux bei Chrome OS.

Planšetinio kompiuterio ir išmaniojo telefono hibridas vadinamas planšetofonu.[3][4]
