Nacionalinė kalba

Nacionalinė kalba yra kalba ar jos dialektas, vartojamas tam tikrų žmonių grupių, valstybių ar teritorijų. Šio termino vartojimas yra ginčytinas. Pavyzdžiui, nacionalinė kalba gali būti pristatoma kaip valstybės ar tautos nacionalinio identiteto dalis. Nacionalinė kalba taip pat gali būti suprantama, kaip plačiausiai vartojama kalba tam tikroje valstybėje ar teritorijoje, bet nebūtinai oficiali kalba.

Liuksemburgas

Liuksemburge nuo 1984 m. liuksemburgiečių kalba yra apibrėžta kaip nacionalinė kalba, tuo tarpu prancūzų ir vokiečių kalbos yra „administracinės“ kalbos[1].

Namibija

Namibijoje, šalia oficialios anglų kalbos, egzistuoja ir vadinamosios „nacionalinės kalbos“ (angl. National Languages), kurios turi kai kurias regioninių kalbų teises. Tos kalbos yra vokiečių, afrikanų, namų, ovambų, hererų, kwangali ir lozi kalbos[2].
