Geografija

Seniūnija ribojasi su Marijampolės miestu ir Marijampolės, Narto, Igliaukos seniūnijomis. Seniūnijos teritorijoje eina keliai: Marijampolė–Krosna, Marijampolė–Kalvarija, Marijampolė – Daukšiai ir Kalvarija–Krosna.

Seniūnijos plotas – 16955,60 ha, iš jų 21,1 proc. užima miškai, 74,1 proc. – žemės ūkio naudmenos, 4,8 proc. – vandenys ir kitos paskirties plotai.[2]
