Lietuvos apeliacinis teismas (LApT) – apeliacinės instancijos Lietuvos bendrosios kompetencijos teismas bylose, nagrinėtose apygardos teismuose pirmąja instancija (apeliacinis teismas).[3]

Lietuvos kasacinis teismas - Lietuvos Aukščiausiasis Teismas.

Istorija

1994 m. birželio 15 d. įsteigtas remiantis įstatymu „Dėl Lietuvos Aukščiausiojo Teismo, Lietuvos apeliacinio teismo, apygardų teismų įsteigimo, apygardų ir apylinkių teismų veiklos teritorijų nustatymo”. Teismo pirmtakas - Apeliaciniai Rūmai (pagal 1933 m. Teismų santvarkos įstatymą).

1995 m. sausio 1 d. pradėjo veikti.
