Vanessa atalanta (Anglice Red Admiral) est genus papilionum, in temperata Europa, Asia, America Septentrionali endemicus.
Latitudo alarum est 45–50 mm.[2] Species solum in regionibus calidioribus habitat, sed ad septentriones vere et aliquando iterum autumno migrat.
