존 굿윈

존 굿윈(John Goodwin, 1594-1665)은 영국의 설교자이자 신학자이다. 노퍽주에서 태어나서 캠프리지 퀸스 대학교에서 교육을 받았다.

신학

그는 후에 아르미니우스주의자로 비판받았다. 그는 하나님께서 신자가 믿음을 지속적으로 갖는 것을 보장하지 않는다고 주장하였다.[1]

그리스도의 능동적 순종에 대하여 부인하였으며, 존 칼빈을 인용하여 칼빈 또한 칭의에 대하여 죄의 용서만으로 완전하다고 주장하였다고 기록하였다.[2]
