이탈리아의 지리

이탈리아의 지리에는 이탈리아의 모든 물리적 지리적 요소에 대한 설명이 포함된다. 동일한 지리적 영역과 영토가 거의 일치하는 이탈리아는[1] 남부 유럽에 위치하고 있으며 아펜니노 산맥이 교차하는 긴 부츠 모양의 이탈리아 반도, 알프스 남쪽, 포 계곡의 넓은 평야 및 시칠리아를 포함한 일부 섬으로 구성된다. 그리고 사르데냐. 이탈리아는 북반구의 일부이다. 펠라지 제도 중 두 곳(람페두사와 람피오네)은 아프리카 대륙에 위치해 있다.

이탈리아의 전체 면적[2][3]은 301,230km2(116,310sq mi)이며, 그 중 294,020km2(113,520sq mi)는 육지이고 7,210km2(2,784sq mi)는 바다이다. 위도 35°에서 47° N, 경도 6°에서 19° E 사이에 위치한다. 이탈리아는 스위스(698km 또는 434마일), 프랑스(476km 또는 296마일), 오스트리아(404km 또는 251마일) 및 슬로베니아(218km 또는 135마일)와 국경을 접하고 있다. 산마리노(37km 또는 23마일)와 바티칸 시국(3.4km 또는 3.1마일)은 월경지이다. 총 국경 길이는 1,836.4km(1,141.1마일)이다. 섬을 포함해 이탈리아는 아드리아 해, 이오니아 해, 티레니아 해, 리구리아 해, 사르디니아 해, 시칠리아 해협의 7,900km에 달하는 해안선을 갖고 있다.

전통적이고 가장 널리 받아들여지는 범위의 이탈리아 지리적 영역은 약 324,000 평방 킬로미터(125,000 평방 마일)로, 이는 이탈리아 공화국 전체 면적(301,230 평방 킬로미터 또는 116,310 평방 마일)보다 크다. 이탈리아의 지리적 지역에는 크로아티아, 프랑스, 슬로베니아, 스위스의 주권 지역과 모나코 공국, 몰타 공화국, 산마리노 공화국, 바티칸 시국의 4개의 작은 독립 국가( 교황청)를 아우른다.
