야로슬라블(러시아어: Яросла́вль)은 러시아 야로슬라블주의 주도이다. 인구는 63만 5,600명(2002년)이다. 역사적으로는 중요한 도시이다. 12세기 볼가강 상류에 건설된 구 상공업 도시, 하항(河港). 부근에 제유소가 있고, 자동차 관계의 기계 화학공업과 섬유·인쇄·식품공업이 발달하였다.[1] 종교는 주로 러시아 정교회이다.

볼가강과 코토로슬강에 접해 있다. 리빈스크에서 북서쪽으로 80 km, 코스트로마에서 동쪽으로 70 km 떨어져 있다.

산업

야로슬라블은 공업이 발달해 있다.

역사

11세기 초에 키예프 대공국의 야로슬라프 1세 대공이 이 도시를 건설했다. 킵차크 칸국의 지배를 받았으며 15세기 말에 모스크바 대공국의 영토로 들어갔다. 그 후에는 러시아 제국의 영토로 합병되었다. 18세기 말에, 예카테리나 2세 여제가 지방 행정을 개혁한 뒤부터 야로슬라블 현의 중심지로 발전했다. 유사한 시기에 화재가 있었다. 하지만 이 도시는 화재 뒤에 복구가 되었다. 1917년 러시아 혁명으로 소비에트 정권이 성립되자, 이 도시는 그 후 공업 도시로 발전했다.
