ბალტიის ზღვა და მისი შემოგარე ქვეყნები

ბალტიის რეგიონი, ბალტიის რკალის ქვეყნები, ბალტიის რკალი — ტერმინი რომელიც გამოიყენება ბალტიის ზღვის ირგვლივ განლაგებულ ქვეყნებთან მიმართებაში.

პირველი ვინც ზღვას ბალტიის უწოდა (ლათ. Mare Balticum) იყო XI საუკუნის გერმანელი მემატიანე ადამ ბრემენელი.

ქვეყნები რომლებსაც აქვთ ბალტიის ზღვაზე გამავალი სანაპირო ზოლი არიან: დანია, ესტონეთი, ლატვია, ფინეთი, გერმანია, ლიეტუვა, პოლონეთი, რუსეთი და შვედეთი.

ქვეყნები რომლებსაც ბალტიისპირეთის ქვეყნები ეწოდებათ არიან: ესტონეთი, ლატვია და ლიეტუვა.

ბალტიის ზღვის ქვეყნების საბჭოში შედიან ის ქვეყნები რომლებსაც აქვთ სანაპირო ზოლი ბალტიის ზღვაზე, ასევე ნორვეგია და ისლანდია, ხოლო ევროპის კავშირის სხვა ქვეყნებს აქვთ დამკვირვებლის სტატუსი.

რეგიონი მოიცავს შვიდ კუნძულს რომლებიც შედიან ევრორეგიონში, ესენია: ალანდის კუნძულები (ავტონომიური), ბორნჰოლმი (დანია), გოტლანდი (შვედეთი), ჰიიუმაა (ესტონეთი), ელანდი (შვედეთი), რიუგენი (გერმანია), საარემაა (ესტონეთი).
