ბიოგრაფია

სუზან ჰეფუნა დაიბადა 1962 წელს, ეგვიპტეში, ეგვიპტელი მამის და გერმანელი დედის ოჯახში[2]. ცხოვრების რვა წელი ეგვიპტეში გაატარა, ხოლო მოგვიანებით, გრაცში, ავსტრიაში გადავიდა[1]. 1992 წელს, მან გერმანიაში, ფრანკფურტის სახვითი ხელოვნების აკადემიაში ასპირანტურის დიპლომი მოიპოვა.

ურბანული გამოსახულებებით და ორივე ქვეყნის ტრადიციების შერწყმულად გამოყენებით, ჰეფუნას ნამუშევრებში მკვეთრადაა გამოხატული მისი ეგვიპტური და გერმანული წარმოშობა.

სუზან ჰეფუნას ნამუშევრები ძირითადად ინდური მელნით და აკვარელითაა შესრულებული[3], ხოლო მათ ძირითად თემას ხის ან ქვის გისოსებით დამზადებული ტრადიციული ეგვიპტური არქიტექტურის მახასიათებლების მქონე სტრუქტურები წარმოადგენს[4] .

ჯილდოები

1998 წელს, ჰეფუნა კაიროს ბიენალეზე საერთაშორისო ჯილდოთი დაჯილდოვდა[7] , ხოლო 2013 წელს — პარიზში, თანამედროვე ხელოვნების პრიზი მოიპოვა[8].
