暮石八幡神社（くれいしはちまんじんじゃ）は、徳島県吉野川市美郷に鎮座する神社。

歴史

創建年は不詳[1]。東山谷川沿いに鎮座し、上流の広幡八幡神社を「上の宮」と呼ぶのに対し、暮石八幡神社は「下の宮」と呼ばれる[2]。

元々は東山谷川の上流である上谷に鎮座していたが、洪水で社殿が下流まで流されたため、現在の場所に移ったとされる。上谷の人々が社殿を元の場所に移そうとした際に、日が暮れてもお堂が動こうとしなかったことから暮石の名がついたとされる[1]。
