一般名詞

英語で、評論、批評、見直し、検証などのニュアンスを持つ語。カタカナ語としても使われる。

  • 文献レビュー→文献研究（英語版）: 科学的研究の過程として、当該研究テーマに関する先行研究について文献の探索を行うこともレビューと呼ばれる。
  • レビュー論文→総説論文:また、そうした先行研究を網羅的にまとめ、その当該テーマについての研究の動向を論じた展望論文をさすこともある。そうした論文を掲載する学術雑誌のタイトルにも使われる。心理学関係の展望論文誌Psychological Reviewなど。
  • システマティック・レビュー - ある課題についての科学的根拠を得るため、一定の基準を満たした質の高い研究論文をデータベースで網羅的に収集し、体系的・統計的に分析すること。また、その手法で作成された総説[1]。
  • ピアレヴュー→査読
  • 「ブックレヴュー」→書評
  • 「ムービーレヴュー」→映画評論
  • 「デザインレビュー」ISO 9001（JIS Q 9001）において定義づけられる「設定された目標を達成するための検討対象の適切性、妥当性、および有効性を判定するために行われる活動」のこと。なお以前運用されていたJIS Z　8115では「設計審査」という表現を用いて、類似概念が定義されていた。また、規格に準じてはいないが単に設計を他の部門に監査させる事をデザインレビューやレビューと称している組織もある。
  • 「ソフトウェア・レビュー」ソフトウェア開発、システム開発で行われるレビュー。IEEE 1028で規定されている。
  • 購入者の声、お客様の声 - 通販サイトや通販カタログのお客様の声などをカスタマーレビューなどと称している会社がある。フィードバックとも。
  • 商品レビュー - 販売されている商品の感想をブログ、SNSなどで紹介すること。

  • レヴュー (演芸) - 時事風刺の効いた舞台エンターテイメントショーのこと。音楽やコント踊り等で構成された華やかで洒落た内容である。英語ではreviewと訳される。時事や風刺の意味は過去のものとして薄れていたり、全く無いものも、演劇として類似したものもレビューと呼ばれる。
