Mauro DePalma (nato il 2 Febbraio 1955 in Roma, Italia) è un programmatore e uno sviluppatore di Linux. Altamente ha adattato la distribuzione Softlanding Linux al punto che era il sistema operativo interno per gli sviluppatori e gli operatori di servizio per una azienda di 50 persone. Entro 1995 aveva messo in opera la distribuzione commerciale Craftworks Linux per i processor 32-bit dell'Intel, entro mesi dopo collaborante con la Digital Equipment Corporation questa distribuzione Linux è stata completata per i processor 64-bit DEC Alpha; principalmente ha venduto in Europa del Nord. Riorientando le energie di nuovo al software Open Source ed ai processor 32-bit dell'Intel, ha iniziato la serie di distribuzione Generations Linux.
