Triossano

I triossani sono composti organici eterociclici formati da un anello esaatomico in cui tre atomi sono di carbonio e tre di ossigeno. Hanno quindi formula chimica C3H6O3.
Ne esistono due isomeri:
- 1,3,5-triossano - conosciuto soprattutto come elemento base degli agenti antimalarici.
- 1,2,4-triossano - conosciuto come reagente chimico, ma anche come combustibile.
Applicazioni
Il 1,3,5 - triossano viene usato anche come monomero per la polimerizzazione per via anionica del POM (Poliossimetilene).
